'Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites' coming soon to MCM

The Mississippi Children's Museum will soon welcome its first traveling exhibit -- "Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites".

The exhibit features famous characters and iconic scene taken right out of the pages of seven celebrated children's books: "The Tale of Peter Rabbit", "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie", "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom", "The Snowy Day", "Abuela", "Tuesday", and "Where’s Spot?".

Storyland's grand opening is Saturday, May 19. It will run through Aug. 26.

'Casablanca' back on the big screen for 70th anniversary

'Casablanca' back on the big screen for 70th anniversary

Audiences have the chance to see the Oscar classic "Casablanca" on the big screen for the movie's upcoming 70th anniversary.

March 21, hundreds of movie theaters nationwide will show the film, including Tinseltown in Pearl, according to a news release.

Turner Classic Movies host Robert Osborne will introduce the movie and discuss Casablanca's legacy and reveal some behind-the-scenes stories.

There will be two showings  on Wednesday, March 21 at Tinseltown -- 2 p.m.

New Stage Unframed Series presents 'Circle Mirror Transformation'

The New State Theatre Unframed Series will present “Circle Mirror Transformation” for three nights this week.

Performances are set for March 22-24 at the New Stage Theatre’s Warehouse Theatre, located at 1000 Monroe Street in the Belhaven Heights neighborhood.

“Circle Mirror Transformation” is a play by 28-year-old playwright Annie Baker of Massachusetts.
